Financing a house & land package

When buying a house & land package, you will need to take out two loans. One loan is for the land and the other is for the construction of the new home, and they are generally bundled together. 

You will begin making repayments on the land mortgage as soon as the location is transferred to you after settlement. For the home itself, you will only need to pay the stamp duty on the land component of the fixed price right away. 

Paying off the construction loan will happen in increments at the end of each phase of construction. 

Keep in mind, that first home buyers may be eligible to use a first homeowner’s grant for a house and land package. Plus, first-time buyers may be able to access the First Home Guarantee, which can greatly assist with the deposit requirements.

Custom or semi-custom homes

Custom and semi-custom homes are common in house and land packages from G.J. Gardner Homes. These refer to standard plans, but you have the option to add your customisations such as additional rooms, a pool, or larger spaces.
