Jeremy and his wife Emily operate G.J. Gardner Homes Tamworth, combining their extensive local knowledge with a hands on approach to help families bring their new homes to life. After completing his apprenticeship and working through the supervision ranks, Jeremy obtained his builder’s licence and, alongside Emily, who now oversees every aspect of the business with a focus on quality, transparency, and client satisfaction.
The Tamworth team provides guidance through every stage of the home building process, from design and council approvals to construction and final handover. Whether you are considering a custom home, a house and land package, or a knockdown rebuild, their consultants work closely with clients to tailor designs, manage logistics, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

HAPPY HANDOVER

What do you get when you mix chocolate chip cookies, mini pizzas, resilience, real life experiences, dead fish jellybeans, bowling and a few well-earned beers? One very memorable G.J. Gardner Homes Tamworth Staff Development Day!
The day kicked off with our very own MasterChef challenge. Team Office took on chocolate chip cookies, while our Construction Team tackled mini pizzas—all with just 30 minutes on the clock and a wildcard ingredient that had to make the final dish. Safe to say our judges, Em and Jez, took their roles very seriously!
From there, we shifted gears as Hugh from The Resilience Project reminded us why this year’s annual theme based around the values of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness matters. His honest storytelling, self-deprecating humour and real-life experiences had everyone laughing, reflecting and walking away inspired.
Then it was game time! A trio of challenges—darts, Mario Kart and blind golf—brought out everyone’s competitive streak. But every game came with consequences… enter the infamous BeanBoozled jellybeans. Nothing bonds a team quite like confidently biting into what you think is Tutti Frutti… only to discover it’s Dead Fish or an Old Bandage🤢
Just as everyone’s appetite had well and truly disappeared, we feasted on an incredible Vietnamese feast from Ms Juju’s (thankfully without any mystery flavours!).
The afternoon rolled into bowling, where the stakes got even higher. Every gutter ball earned another BeanBoozled jellybean. Poor Hayley and Em became unwilling connoisseurs of some truly questionable flavours, proving that bowling might not be their strongest skill—but taking one for the team certainly is!
We wrapped up the day with a few drinks at The Welder’s Dog, plenty of laughs, endless banter and the kind of conversations that only happen when you step away from the office.
Days like these remind us that strong teams aren’t just built on projects—they’re built on shared experiences, genuine connection and having a good laugh together.
Here’s to a team that works hard, supports each other, and isn’t afraid to eat a Dead Fish jellybean for the sake of team spirit. 💙 ...
