Woodside is a picturesque village located only 10-kilometres from the southern coastline. Many Woodside residents work outside the village, at neighbouring towns and cities, namely Yarram, Longford, Sale, Traralgon and Morwell. Given its proximity to Yarram (23-kilometres west), residents don’t have to travel far to visit a swimming pool, a cinema (The Regent Theatre) or a golf course (Yarram Golf Club). However, Woodside’s major attraction is nearby Woodside Beach, some 10-kilometres away. Woodside Beach is a pristine surf beach, ideal for swimming, fishing and boating – which forms part of Ninety Mile Beach.
Woodside is accessible from Sale via the South Gippsland Highway, or from Morwell / Traralgon via the Hyland Highway. A train to Melbourne can be caught from Sale train station, 55-kilometres to the northeast.
The Woodside General Store provides Woodside with its basic needs. Residents also have access to a petrol station and a pub. Major retailers, such as Coles, Best & Less, Woolworths, Aldi and Target, can be found in Sale.
Woodside’s only school is Woodside Primary School. The closest secondary school, Yarram Secondary College, is 23-kilometres west.

The process of building with GJ Gardner was so much easier than I thought it would be. We were dealing with people that were friendly and caring about our situation. They were very good at their job and any changes to the plans were no problem. The workmanship is fantastic and we were able to use some local tradies which we appreciated. We nearly feel guilty as to how easy our build was.
