Hi, I’m Jono and together with my wife Lisa, we are the proud owner operators here at your local G.J. Gardner Whitsundays. We have lived in the Whitsundays area since 2003 and had already been a local operator of “JM Construction Whitsunday” before starting our GJ Franchise. We chose to make the switch in order to expand our services and offer more to the local community. A key part of this transition for us was keeping all our local trades and suppliers who were a major part of our success already.
We chose G.J. due to the strong brand recognition/jingle, access to modern home designs and the ability for clients to easily contact us via our website. Above everything else, the major priority on our list is the service and finished product we can provide to our clients.

Can I get the first home owner’s grant?
Cash is almost always a consideration when buying your own home for the first time. To help first-time buyers purchase a property, Australian state governments offer similar variations of a first home owners’ grant, when the correct circumstances are met. Depending on which state you are building in, this grant can range between $7,000 to $20,000. The grant is available when purchasing a new-build property, or on the cost of building a new home. The process of building with GJ Gardner was so much easier than I thought it would be. We were dealing with people that were friendly and caring about our situation. They were very good at their job and any changes to the plans were no problem. The workmanship is fantastic and we were able to use some local tradies which we appreciated. We nearly feel guilty as to how easy our build was.
We’ve been living in our GJ Gardner home for about a month now and it’s fantastic. Our scheduled completion date has only just passed so it finished about a month ahead. The whole team to deal with were fantastic. We were sent updates on the house weekly (or whenever there was an update) and nothing we asked for or about was too much trouble. We always thought building would be stressful, but the GJ team made the process a breeze. Big thanks to the team for our beautiful family home.
The whole process was smooth and stress free from start to finish. Quality products and quality service. Any complications were solved quickly with a friendly chat and without issue. Change of mind or ideas were easy and staff offered small changes which has made all the difference. Final cost was nearly spot on!
