Planning your visit to a Wollongong Display Home
Visiting a display home is an important step in your new home journey. It’s the chance to see, experience, touch and feel what your dream home might be like. At G.J. Gardner Homes, we’ve got a wide range of display homes across Wollongong and the wider Illawarra region. Here are our top tips for planning your visit.
Before you visit
Take a look at our Wollongong home designs and start to narrow down your selection. Our homes are designed to help you take advantage of the wonderful Wollongong lifestyle. Whether you’re after a coastal classic, hinterland rustic or suburban contemporary style, we’ve got you covered. It’s also important to consider your block – whether you’ve already purchased, would like us to locate land, or view our current estates. Other factors include the number of storeys, bedrooms, living areas and storage needs for your family.
Once you’ve narrowed down a shortlist, you can find the display homes that are the closest match, and plan your visit.
Visiting a Wollongong display home: What to expect
Our display homes are staffed by people with local know how and great building advice. You’ll receive a warm welcome: we want you to feel like you’re already home. It’s a good idea to make an appointment if you want to spend time with our consultant, especially if you have already purchased land. Our expert consultants can help with any questions you might have – whether it’s settling on the best home design or choosing what to customise. Many of our display homes include complete product displays that make choosing your finishes a breeze.
Don’t forget – although we have a huge range of designs to choose from, we also have in house designers who can customise plans for the home of your dreams.
On the day
Here’s our advice on how to make your display home visit a success:
Call beforehand – if you have any questions, or want to book a time to visit the display home. This is a good idea if you have questions for our consultant – to make sure you get priority.
Allow enough time – let yourself have the time to fully experience each room, ask all the questions you need, and start to make decisions. You might plan to visit more than one display home if you’re deciding between a couple of different designs.
Make it a day trip – if you’re bringing the family, plan some other fun activities like a picnic or a park visit. Kids are always welcome at our display homes, and it’s important to see how they respond to the layout. You might want to bring along some toys or activities to keep kids occupied while you talk with a consultant.
Pack water, snacks and other essentials – to keep you going on the road. Think sunscreen and activities for kids, whether it’s a ball or a book.
We look forward to seeing you at a Wollongong display home soon.
