Thinking of renovating this summer? Why not cleanup your bathroom?

If you are not buying a new home, high on any potential buyers list is the state of the existing kitchen and bathroom. If they have been renovated real estate agents confirm that a house will sell faster and for a better price. So if you are renovating it makes sense to tackle these two areas first, particularly if you intend to sell in the future.
Let’s start in the bathroom, one of the few places in our busy lives where we have absolute privacy and are free to be ourselves. This is why a bathroom which is serene and calming is instantly attractive. It should be tactile, but with a streamlined style, the bathroom is not the place for fussy clutter. Floor to ceiling storage cabinets are a great way to get the maximum use out of a small bathroom, or an ensuite, with ensuites in particular needing simple form and detail. Keep the colour palette limited to two or three colours at most.
Glossy white wall tiles can be balanced with a tint of colour. Lighting should be adjustable: clear and bright for shaving, hair styling and makeup, but able to be dimmed to create a relaxing atmosphere at night.
If your renovation budget runs to a bathroom splurge how about installing the Caroma ‘Flow’ shower head? It won a prestigious Australian Design Award in 2011 because it not only looks good, this handsome shower head delivers the same performance as a conventional one, but with just a fraction of the H2O.
