Twenty three years after the first Tamworth Home & Leisure Show, held in 1985, the event is being relaunched with a new sponsor.
Dianna Lockwood, Sales Manager of Rural Press Events, which stages the Show, has welcomed G J Gardner Homes as name sponsor of the event.
"G J Gardner Homes is rapidly becoming the major dream home builder in the New England and North West," Dianna said.
"The Home and Leisure Show has always had a strong regional character, attracting visitors from all over the area, so it is a very appropriate sponsorship for a powerful and dedicated home building operation like G J Gardner Homes."
Matthew and Linda Varley, proprietors of G J Gardner Homes Tamworth, said the company has enjoyed strong growth, and are thrilled to be offering an opportunity to support the building industry and growing families, home-makers and home renovators within the New England and North West.
"We are delighted to be associated with such an important and well established community event as the Home and Leisure Show," they said.
The G J Gardner Home & Leisure Show will be staged in the Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre (TRECC) on Saturday and Sunday, October 18th and 19th.
Billed as the ultimate lifestyle showcase, this year the event will include the TAFE 48 Hour Challenge, an exciting project involving TAFE NSW students, staff and local trade companies who will volunteer their time and services to work around the clock to build a fully landscaped, transportable home within 48 hours.
Another feature of the event is the New England North West Food & Wine Fair which showcases the region’s culinary talent, products and services from all over northern NSW.
"Don’t miss a visit to this year’s spectacular 2008 G J Gardner Home & Leisure Show!" Dianna said.
