Making a difference in Albury
With a combined 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, Leigh McGlynn & Chris Moscher have seen trends in home building come and go, but for them, quality has never gone out of style.
And it’s this commitment to quality that has seen the local duo receive numerous accolades including a HIA (Housing Institute of Australia) award in 2013 for Best Custom Built Home for $450-550K.
“We both still get a kick out of standing back at the end of a job and taking in the finished product. But even better than that is seeing the joy on our client’s faces when we hand over the keys for the first time. It gives you a great sense of satisfaction knowing that you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life.”
Both Leigh and Chris were born and bred in the Albury region and have a love for the area that shows in the way they give back to their community. Their business is the major sponsor of the Thurgoona Football Club, which Leigh, as senior coach, has steered to two grand finals in 2011 and 2012. Chris is also one of the team’s most dedicated players having donned the Thurgoona Bulldogs jersey since he was seven years old.
Leigh and Chris are also active members of the North Side Chamber of Commerce Albury, and sponsor APOL (a police charity against drugs and violence) as well as the Daniel Morcombe foundation.
“Knowing that we have made a difference for the better is the best reward we know of, whether it’s in the community or through the work that we do.”
